UC Merced

UC Merced is the first new American research university in the 21st century, with a mission of research, teaching and service. The campus opened September 5, 2005, in the Central Valley of California. The university is about an hour north of Fresno, two hours south of Sacramento, two hours southeast of San Francisco and the Silicon Valley, and 90 minutes west of Yosemite National Park.

Graduate School Fee Waiver

Graduate application fee waivers are available for UC LEADS Scholars. The fee waiver is integrated into the graduate application; students will identify their participation in UC LEADS in the "Additional Information" tab. By identifying their participation, students can then request a fee waiver through the "Application Fee" tab; please allow 24 hours to verify fee waiver eligibility. Do not pay or submit your application until you have been verified for fee waiver via email or by logging back into the system.
