Fee Waiver
All UC LEADS scholars are eligible for a fee waiver to UC San Diego academic graduate programs. This fee waiver is applied towards up to 3 applications to different graduate programs. Additional fee waiver details can be found at the Graduate Division website.
STARS Summer Research Program
The STARS Undergraduate Research Program will take place from Monday, June 24 through Friday, August 16.
Second Year Selection Process
UC San Diego can host up to five second year UC LEADS Scholars, who will be part of the STARS Undergraduate Research Program. Serious considerations will be given to students who seek out placements with UC San Diego faculty.
Please follow these steps:
- Complete UC LEADS Scholar Profile and indicate UC San Diego as a top choice
- Communicate your intent and progress of faculty mentoring opportunities for the summer.
- Once you have a faculty commitment, update your Profile and email me.
Once 5 placements have been made to UC San Diego, an announcement will be emailed to all interested student and UC LEADS Coordinators.
