The UC LEADS Executive Steering Committee at the 2024 UC LEADS Symposium at UC Berkeley

The purpose of the UC LEADS Executive Steering Committee is to oversee the policies, procedures, best practices and direction of the program on a state wide level. It includes the following members: 

  • Dr. Jean-Pierre Delplanque, Chair and Vice Provost & Dean of Graduate Studies, UC Davis
  • Dr. Alex Filippenko, Northern California Faculty Representative, UC Berkeley
  • Dr. Sonya Neal, Southern California Faculty Representative, UC San Diego
  • Yuli Ortega, Northern California UC LEADS Coordinator Representative, UC Santa Cruz
  • Mariela Menendez, Southern California UC LEADS Coordinator Representative, UC Irvine
  • Michele Johnson, UC LEADS Statewide Director, UC Santa Barbara
