The UC LEADS Executive Steering Committee at the 2025 UC LEADS Symposium at UC Los Angeles

The purpose of the UC LEADS Executive Steering Committee is to oversee the policies, procedures, best practices and direction of the program on a state wide level. It includes the following members: 

  • Dr. Jean-Pierre Delplanque, Chair and Vice Provost & Dean of Graduate Studies, UC Davis
  • Dr. Janine Jones, Associate Vice Chancellor for Graduate Affairs, Anne and Michael Towbes Dean of the Graduate Division, UC Santa Barbara
  • Dr. Alex Filippenko, Northern California Faculty Representative, UC Berkeley
  • Dr. Huinan Liu, Southern California Faculty Representative, UC Riverside
  • Yvonne Garcia, Northern California UC LEADS Coordinator Representative, UC San Francisco
  • Karen van Gool, Southern California UC LEADS Coordinator Representative, UC Santa Barbara
